Road 13 John Oliver Selection Malbec 2020

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThis wine is bigger than its bottle, which is environmentally insensitively overweight. After that, many buyers will be attracted to its super rich black fruit, relatively soft tannins, and long, spicy, prolonged finish. From a fine vintage, this wine will effortlessly age a decade. It needs a few years to shed some oak, but it will be a malbec to be reckoned with by 2025. Think Argentine empanadas, pork belly, or grilled Portobello mushrooms. The fruit comes off an East Osoyoos vineyard block and is aged in 40 percent new French oak for 18 months. John Oliver was the engineer of the Okanagan Canals, an advocate for women’s rights, and a champion of the working man.Tasted: 17 April 2023Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
