Corcelettes Malbec Micro Lot Series 2020
Similkameen Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe varietal malbec made at Corcelettes is released under the Micro Lot Series, and it is a ginormous red handpicked from the furthest west block of the estate Similkameen Vineyard. It is one of the last blocks that bathe in the warm, late day sun. The intensity in 2020 is off the charts, rich in cedar and toasted oak, and mixed with black cherry and blackcurrants from front to back. It has a wild savoury Similkameen note in the finish. There is no rush to drink this wine; three to five years of ageing will help it settle and come together.
