Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaOff Bella Vineyard's gravelled soils, this was aged 8 months in French oak. Pervaded with ample perfumed potpourri and fragrant blossoms, this full-bodied spice box is full of showy white peach, ripe nectarine, and lusty gingersnap, running slow across the expansive palate. There is a lime rind lift to tighten and take to the spiced finish. If you're looking for something smart and showy to pour alongside lightly spiced and sauced Chinese or Thai dishes, look here.Tasted: 13 July 2023Tasted by: Prices:

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe 2019 Bella Vineyard Roussanne was a whole bunch pressed, and barrel fermented for 21 days, followed by eight months of ageing in French oak. The result is a full-flavoured, green-yellow wine with an attractive honeysuckle floral, exotic nose. The palate is medium to full weight, with more ripe peach and orange streaked with almonds and pears. The rich and smooth texture, with a lovely lees component, keeps the weight and complexity running through the back of the wine. That said, winemaker Arnaud Thierry keeps it all fresh, leaving it, as the French might say, a serious wine of gastronomy. Halibut in an orange sauce comes to mind.Tasted: 17 April 2023Tasted by: Prices:
