Church & State Wines Roussanne 2018
Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe fruit is grown on the warm Black Sage Bench southeast of Oliver, in Coyote Bowl and Bella Vineyards. Like its sister label, Marsanne, the oak and the alcohol have been pulled back, and at 12.5 percent alcohol, it is all about the fruit and the terroir. The entry is a ripe mix of orange and peach with the right amount of spice underneath. Less fat and puffy than last year, the Roussanne resurfaces as a serious gastronomic wine. It would be a perfect match with fresh halibut in a butter sauce.Tasted: 06 August 2021Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:BC | $25.99 | 750ml | winery online/direct |
