Trentino- Alto-Adige, ItalyThe Abbazia monastery was founded in 1142 by the Augustinian Order of Canons Regular in the Isarco River Valley, and on its magical slopes of granitic schist. The estate vineyards, primarily white grapes, stretch across 80 hectares, with additional fruit selected from neighbouring properties. The riesling is an electric version with a strong mineral undercurrent that supports a heady tropical perfume and a citrus drenched mix of peaches, grapefruit, and Granny Smith apples.
