Naramata Bench, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe Tightrope Syrah is sustainably farmed on a steep sloping western facing Paisley Vineyard in the upper Naramata Bench. It is co-fermented with just enough viognier (4%) and cold-soaked for five days to grab some colour and flavours without any alcohol before fermenting on its yeast. The ageing is primarily French oak (50% new) with a small amount of American wood for 12 months. Pepper and toast with a jolt of acidity greet the palate with more red fruit and a cool, lean Rhône-like texture through the finish. A medium-weight syrah that needs a bit more concentration and weight to get to the next level. Best with pork or grilled vegetables at this point.Tasted: 03 February 2023Tasted by: Prices:

Naramata Bench, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaFrom Upper Naramata Bench's Paisley Vineyard, this The Syrah is co-fermented with 4% viognier, cold soaked for 5 days prior to natural ferment, and pressing off into French and American oak (50% new, 1 barrel American) for 1 year. The wood is immediately evident, with ample sweet toasted cedar spices leading the cushy palate of blackberry, black cherry jam, and vanilla. Tightrope Winery Syrah 2019

Naramata Bench, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThis Naramata Bench syrah, co-fermented with viognier (4%), exhibits a bright yet deep crimson colour. It's perfumed, packed with florals, clove, and peppery spices layered with red and black brambleberries. It's everything you would expect from a good syrah. The hallmark black pepper note is more emphasized on the palate, continuing through to the finish.
