Somontano, Aragon, SpainAt nine years of age, this shows a nice balance of stewed brambly fruit and wild blueberries alongside tertiary notes of cedar and earth, all generously wrapped in sweet coconut oak (12 months). It offers a sweet attack, reflecting the opulent ripeness and 15% abv, while still being structured with firm, grainy tannins and surprising freshness. Far from at the finish line, it feels like this is just entering its prime drinking window.
