Prince Edward County, Ontario, CanadaKnown for their range of chardonnays, this Closson Chase Vineyard Chardy was whole cluster pressed and barrel fermented, with less than 10% new oak. It remained there for 18 months prior to bottling. The wood is now a gentle backdrop to this powerful, reductive-flecked wine, supporting the broken stones, green apple, meyer lemon, and herbal lees on the palate. This has come together beautifully, and will continue to impress over the next couple of years easy.
