Liber Farm and Winery Let Me Be Franc 2019
Similkameen Valley, British Columbia, CanadaFranc-ly this wine is different from many of its peers. Less fragrant, this is more a mix of dry, earthy, thorny notes with a zero cola scent, while spicy dried plums, cedar and dried blueberries reign on the palate. It opens up with time in the glass, so decanting is recommended if you serve in the short term. The fruit comes off a gently-sloping Okanagan mountainside and is aged in French oak post-fermentation. The fruit factor is low, so this wine would be fine with mushroom dishes, a pulled pork sandwich, or beef tacos.Tasted: 05 December 2022Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:BC | $23.00 | 750ml | winery direct, private wine shops |
