Wieninger Grüner Veltliner Ried Herrnholz 2021

Wien (Vienna), AustriaFrom Bisamberg's loess soils, and the single vineyard (Ried) Herrnholz, a very sandy site, which was the first Fritz’ father planted, in the 1960s. This was fermented and aged in stainless. Very expansive and saline, with quince blossoms, pear skin, ripe white peach, and gentle, persistent buzzy minerality through the lingering lemon blossom and white pepper finish. Quite striking, this is drinking smartly now and with ample time ahead.Tasted: 11 November 2022Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
