Mt. Boucherie Reserve Malbec 2019

Similkameen Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThis malbec comes from the Lazy River Vineyard in the Similkameen Valley. The style is juicy with a reasonably high mineral profile that helps absorb some of the 22 months this wine spends in new French oak. The tannins are ripe and structural. However, they remain primarily soft, disappearing into the red and black raspberry jam that permeates the wine. The finish is balanced with black licorice and spice to add some complexity. This will effortlessly age through 2025 and beyond before it reaches its best moments. Best now with grilled beef or pork dishes.Tasted: 29 November 2022Tasted by: Prices:
