Mt. Boucherie Merlot 2020

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe Mt. Boucherie Merlot was farmed at a trio of sites: Lost Horn Vineyard in Okanagan Falls; South Rock Vineyard on the Golden Mile Bench; and Lazy River Vineyard in South Cawston. It has an earthy, meaty nose lined with black cherry jam. The palate is similar, mixing with earthy, black olive, black raspberry, with some light tannins yet to dissipate. A fine vintage, this wine will need three to five years to reach its zenith. If you can’t wait, you can drink it now with grilled sausage, roasted pork, or root vegetables. It was aged in French oak for 14 months, (fifteen percent new).Tasted: 29 November 2022Tasted by: Prices:
