Phantom Creek Estates Phantom Creek Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2019

Oliver, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaPhantom Creek Vineyard is one of the finest cabernet sites in BC thanks to its maximum sun exposure and long South Okanagan days of daylight. All the classic cabernet descriptors work here, including cassis, tobacco, dark chocolate, green pepper and deeply concentrated hits of black currant, plum, toast, and baking spices. The tannins are dense and dusty, but the finish has heightened campfire notes. While tolerable now, I think you should drink this wine as soon as possible before the wine surrenders. Established in 1996, Phantom Creek Vineyard was planted by pioneering viticulturist Dick Cleave along the lower terrace of the Black Sage Bench. The tiny, eight-acre parcel has turned heads since the beginning and will continue to, weather permitting, for a long time.Tasted: 28 October 2022Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
