Sicily, ItalyA cross between catarratto and moscato, and once responsible for Italy’s fortified wine Marsala, grillo is widely grown in Sicily and is now making exciting modern dry whites. This wine is a great example. A perfect mix of floral, citrus, and herbal notes, it opens with delicate citrus blossoms leading to lemon zest with nuances of ripe peach and fresh chopped herbs. Mouthwatering, lively acidity, balanced by a rich mouthfeel, persists fairly long on the palate.
