Tasca d'Almerita Leone 2020
Sicily, ItalyA blend of catarratto, pinot bianco, sauvignon blanc, traminer aromaticom and moscato, this is lightly reductive and closed when just opened, but it evolves later in the glass showing a more pronounced orange peel and white peach nose layered with orchard blossoms. On the palate, the fruit tastes sweeter with a hint of tropical nuances. The savoury leesy character, along with herbal notes, adds complexity. It finishes with lingering pleasant almond bitterness and saline minerality.
