Tenuta Fanti Rosso di Montalcino 2020

Montalcino, Siena, Tuscany, ItalyThe Tenuta Fanti estate has belonged to the Fanti family since the beginning of the eighteenth century. It extends across 300 hectares in Toscana, 52ha of which are specialized certified sustainable vineyards. Made from 15-20-year-old vines, the wine was fermented for 20-25 days in stainless before ageing for one year in oak barrels, 300L French oak barriques, and 3,000L oak barrels. The wine then aged in a bottle for 7 months before release. Fragrant cherry, wild raspberry, flake salts work across a leathery palate, with tuggy tannins framing the sides through the raspy spiced finish. Ready to crack now with grilled veg / pork dishes.Tasted: 30 August 2022Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
