Canalicchio di Sopra Brunello di Montalcino La Casaccia 2017

Montalcino, Siena, Tuscany, ItalyFrancesco Ripaccioli is the third generation, along with his brother and sister, taking care of these lands. Francesco took over the winemaking from his father, overseeing the 19 vineyards across 2 cru, including their estate vineyards on the famed Montosoli Hill. La Casaccia is laden with clay soils, lending the power and density to this striking Brunello. Wild dark cherry, black raspberry mixes with an alluring salted ferrous character threaded throughout the structured palate. Acidity is bright and lofted, and tannins are firm and fine, perfectly situated to carry this through the lingering finish. Drinking beautifully now, and with time ahead.Tasted: 28 August 2022Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
