Adelaide Hills, Mount Lofty Ranges, Adelaide, South Australia, AustraliaNamed in honour of the fellow that owns this Adelaide Hills vineyard (yup), this striking upper altitude, organically farmed chardonnay will cement Adelaide Hills' cool climate for you. From Kenton Valley, this chardy was whole bunch pressed, native fermented, with regular bâtonnage and 10 months in French oak (10% new). Light swipes of flinty reduction lead into a creamy palate with baked pear, lemon blossoms, green apple, meadow grass, and earthy lees. Acidity is starting to fade, making me happy I cracked into this bottle in my cellar now. Was a hit with summer corn and grilled chicken wings.Tasted: 20 August 2022Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
