Sonoma Coast, Sonoma County, California, United States2018 is made with 70 percent estate fruit and what appears to be a fraction of oak, something Paul Hobbs has been pursuing for some time now. The freshness is apparent, as is the bright, juicy strawberry, rhubarb, and bramble fruit that is an authentic reflection of the true Sonoma Coast. A small bunch of stems is added to the ferment, after which it is all aged nine months on lees in French oak.
