Sperling Vineyards Amber Pinot Gris Organic 2021
Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThis singular natural, orange, pinot gris comes off Ann Sperling's certified organic/biodynamic vineyard in East Kelowna, belonging to her family since 1925. Pouring a very cloudy dark peach hue, this was whole bunch, native fermented to dryness and pressed after setting. This went to bottle sans fining, filtration, or sulphuring. Grippy and textural, with heady apricot fuzz, peach pit, ash, pear skin, and mandarin pith, with moderate acidity well in tune with moderate 11.5% alcohol.
