Oliver, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe Bub is named for OCP's daughter Alison Scholefield and her childhood nickname The Bub. This 2018 blends 64% chardonnay and 36% pinot noir from estate vineyards in Summerland and Oliver. The first ferment was native in concrete, before heading to bottle for secondary ferment and 30 months' rest on lees prior to disgorging with 0 dosage. Racy and crisp on the lively palate, this buzzes with lemon pith and peel, broken stones, with scents of pear skin and dried sage lingering on the finish.
