Losada Bierzo 2018

Bierzo, Castilla-Leon, SpainI've said it before, and I'll repeat it: if you love big reds and want to up your game to another level of sophistication and enjoyment, look to Bierzo. Losada aims to make an elegant new wave Bierzo by seeking out old vineyards, traditionally planted on clay soils, a terroir that the Bierzo's new wave had relatively overlooked. The style is rich, juicy, mineral-laden, supporting, and has a showy red fruit palate. The finish is long and packed with sweet, savoury cinnamon spice. Steak with licorice. A blockbuster wine made for lamb or venison.Tasted: 11 April 2022Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
