Marcel Deiss Engelgarten Le Jardin Anges 2018

Alsace, FranceFrom the lauded biodynamic Engelgarten vineyard’s gravelled soils, this field blend of Riesling, Pinot Gris, Beurot, Muscat, and Pinot Noir comes from vines planted 1977-1997. Whole bunches were native fermented in barrel, where they remained for one year on lees. This streams along a slick and silken palate, with white honey, quince, pear skin, and apricot blossoms. There's a buzzy granitic grip underneath giving this movement and energy. Subtle and understated.Tasted: 08 March 2022Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
