Haywire Gamay Noir Rosé Secrest Mountain Vineyard 2020

Summerland Bench, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThis single vineyard gamay rosé comes off Haywire's estate Secrest Mountain Vineyard in Oliver. It's slightly darker in colour, going against the pale rosé trend of the moment, but it's all the better for it. There's an attractive combination of expressive fruit and savoury complexity, with dried cherry, rose petal, sagebrush, and layers of spice. Dry, with a soft, silky texture that elevates this wine (it's aged in concrete prior to bottling), there's excellent fruit intensity on the palate, which makes this a contemplative rosé to enjoy on its own, or equally versatile when it comes to food pairing.Tasted: 23 February 2022Tasted by: Prices:
