Haywire Gamay Noir Rosé Secrest Mountain Vineyard 2016

Summerland Bench, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaHaywire works with Brad and Dave Wise, owners of the 36-hectare Secrest Vineyard, and its alluvial soils mixed with gravels, sandy loam and limestone layers. Its pale orange/pink derives from twelve hours of skin contact before a wild yeast fermentation in concrete, plus six months aging. Minimalist gamay. The nose is a mix of lifted cherries and wild strawberries with a citrus, creamy lees finish. Fresh and vibrant, it calls for another glass.Tasted: 21 June 2017Tasted by: Prices:
