Donatella Cinelli Colombini Rosso di Montalcino 2018

Montalcino, Siena, Tuscany, ItalyThis is the winery’s first organic Rosso di Montalcino, and it is entirely Sangiovese, from three vineyards at Casato Prime Donne. The sites, always chosen for the earlier-drinking Rosso, are on the cool northern area of Montalcino at about 225m, rooted in clays and sands. This was native fermented in stainless and concrete vats, before aging 6-12 months in large tonneaux. Fragrant wild flowers, wild cherry is woven with fine grained spice, white pepper, and ample crushed stones. Tannins are long and lightly grippy, hugging this through a savoury, saline finish. Very finessed and charming, ready for enjoying now.Tasted: 08 March 2022Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
