Cusumano Nero d'Avola 2019
Sicily, ItalyCusumano Winery is spearheaded by two brothers who have grown their empire to more than 1000 acres of vineyards located throughout Sicily. These Nero D’Avola grapes are from the white soils of Butera, in San Giacomo, at 330m. Lusty and sun-filled, with ample ripe black cherry, black plum, and dried red florals scented with dark cocoa and sweet pipe tobacco, with bright marine acidity and volcanic soils adding textural interest. The smoothed, leathery palate is framed with sticky / grippy tannins, pulling this through a kirsch-soaked finish.
