Mayhem Cabernet Merlot 2019
Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThis blend of 72% merlot and 28% cabernet franc came off the home Anarchist Vineyard in Osoyoos, as well as Naramata's Tebutt Vineyard. It was fermented seperately in stainless (merlot destemmed, and franc whole berry) before aging in French oak (40% new) for 11 months. It was bottled unfined and unfiltered. Dusky blackberry, plum, black cherry fill an earthy, savoury palate, seasoned with toasted cedar and finishing with a swell of warmth.
