Mayhem Cabernet Merlot 2019
Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe 2019 blend is a 72/28 merlot/cabernet franc mix that comes off Naramata's Tebutt Vineyard and the Anarchist Vineyard in Osoyoos. The treatments vary, with merlot destemmed and cabernet franc whole berry as they head into the fermenter. All the ageing is in French oak (40% new) for eleven months. The colour is medium dark, the nose a blueberry, plum and black cherry affair dusted in savoury sagebrush and earthy cedar before a drying finish.
