Antiyal Pura Fe Garnacha Syrah 2019
Valle del Maipo, Region del Valle Central, ChileIn 1996, winemaker Alvaro Espinoza and his family planted two acres of vines around their home in Maipo. In 2003, they planted their El Escorial estate in the rocky volcanic / basaltic soils of the Andean foothills with over 25 acres organic / biodynamic vines at 500m. Pura Fe means Pure Faith. This 70/30 garnacha / syrah was native fermented in large stainless tanks over 1 month prior to aging 10 months in French barrels (20% new). Medicinal cherry, kirsch, potent blackberry fills this structural, full-bodied and dense red, with ample lashings of iron.
