Greystone Sauvignon Blanc 2019

Waipara, Canterbury, South Island, New ZealandThis organic sauvignon blanc comes from Waipara Valley, on the Southern Island's North Canterbury region, and the estate's loess over clays. This was native fermented in older French barrels over six months to achieve dryness. It went through partial MLF before being racked out of barrels for the final blend and bottling, without fining. Candied lemon, fragrant gooseberry, guava, tropical florals flood the fuller, creamy palate, one expansed by the time in wood. This medium bodied (13%) white finishing with a lingering wash of salinity. If you're feeling like sauvignon blanc, but looking for something to partner with fragrant, creamy, coconut milk curries, give this a try.Tasted: 10 November 2021Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
