Kelly Washington Sauvignon Blanc 2017

Marlborough, South Island, New ZealandFrom Marlborough's Southern Valleys, this organic and biodynamically farmed sauvignon comes from a hillside vineyard of clay-loess soils. This was native fermented in a mix of stainless and 30% older barrels, where it remained for 10 months prior to bottling. Textured and layered with juicy lime, quince, gooseberry, wild orange peel set atop a savoury, broken stones backdrop. The medium bodied wine is ringing with limey acidity, and lingering with more of that broken stony salinity. Not your typical Marlborough savvy, especially with some age under its belt.Tasted: 10 November 2021Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
