Bachelder Cuesta Pinot Noir 2019
Twenty Mile Bench, Niagara Peninsula, Ontario, CanadaOn the eastern edge of Vineland, Cuesta Vineyard sits on a gentle slope above Highway 8 on dolomitic-limestone clay soils with silt. It's a cooler site, and Bachelder's last pinot block to be picked, and you can sense that here. It's light and ethereal, with alluring perfumed aromatics, bright red berries, rhubarb, and an attractive flinty reductive note. There's real verve and tension, with exceptional precision to the fruit. A seamless, elegant pinot, and a steal at this price. Only 75 cases were produced.Tasted: 29 November 2021Tasted by: Prices:ON | $44.95 | 750ml | winery direct |
