Craven Wines Cabernet Sauvignon 2020

Stellenbosch, Coastal Region, South AfricaFrom west-facing 1999 planted vines on Polkadraai's Karibib Vineyard's decomposed granites, this was early picked and partial whole cluster, fermented native and on skins for a short time before moving into neutral French barrel. This lighter, fresher cab rings with cassis, black cherry, plum across a graphite base, scented with dried florals, and drawn with that characteristic granitic grip. Acidity is bright, and tannins are long and lithe, pulling this towards a lingering sappy, saline finish.Tasted: 29 August 2021Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
