Craven Wines Cabernet Sauvignon 2019

Stellenbosch, Coastal Region, South AfricaFrom west-facing 1999 planted vines on Polkadraai's Karibib Vineyard's decomposed granites, this was early picked and partial whole cluster, fermented native and on skins for a short time before moving into neutral French barrel. Fragrant and finessed, with black cherry, wild raspberry, dusty graphite across the structural and firm, yet slight (12.5%), palate. The finish is hauntingly long, with lingering granitic buzz. A beautiful view of cabernet sauvignon, drinking well now and with cellaring.Tasted: 17 February 2021Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
