Upper Bench Chardonnay Estate Grown 2018

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, Canada2018 is the first year UB has vinified an estate chardonnay, growing a small list of Estate Grown wines. It is a small batch for sure, picked on October 5 at 22.8 Brix and fermented wild in new French oak barrels. After fermentation, the chardonnay is sur lie aged for eight months in the same barrels. The result is an impressive 98 cases of a complex, balanced, cool-climate chardonnay with nutty, caramel, creamy notes supported by a citrus, apple underside.
