Upper Bench Chardonnay 2019

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThis chardonnay was aged in a split of French oak barrels and stainless for three months. The nose opens with reductive, nutty green apple. On the palate it is definitely fresh, maybe a little too aggressive, but better to have higher acid than too much oak. The flavours are a mix of peach, green apple, citrus, butter, hazelnuts, and wet stones. Super tart but would be fine pired with a creamy pasta dish or Dungeness crab with drawn butter.
