Upper Bench Chardonnay 2014

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaFresh open honey, citrus nut nose with a touch of matchstick, baked apple and dried spices. The attack is full flavoured floral butter, pear, nutty/lees garlic flavours with touch of dryness in the finish. A good effort that lacks a little final gloss to really sing. Drink or hold for another year. Half the wine is fermented and aged for 3 months in new French oak; 50% is fermented and aged in stainless steel.
