Hester Creek Old Vine Brut 2018
Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, Canada2018 was the first vintage of this traditional method fizz, from older vine pinot blanc off their 50+ year old vineyard on the Golden Mile Bench. After a stainless ferment, this moved to bottle and spent 24 months on lees. Apple fritter, brioche, ripe red apple, citrus blossom, lemon zest rule the creamy palate, held aloft with bright, lemony acidity, and finishing with a tart sour lemon twist.
