Xanadu DJL Chardonnay 2017

Margaret River, Western Australia, AustraliaDLJ refers to Xanadu founder Dr. James Langan who launched the winery in 1977. Today the Rathbone family owns the property, and the wine has never been better. Native fermented in only 17 percent new French oak, it spends nine months with intermittent bâtonnage but no malolactic fermentation. Bright, fresh lemon spread across the palate with a rush of hazelnuts laced with spice, mineral, and toast. This what Burgundy should taste like, but seldom does. A delight to drink and a relative bargain to boot. Stock up.Tasted: 01 May 2021Tasted by: Prices: BC 30.00 private wine stores Producer: Xanadu Wines PtyDistributors: Revelry Import Company
