Pascal Clément Bourgogne Chardonnay 2019

Burgundy, FranceFrom Savigny-les-Beaune, Chorey-les-Beaune, and Puligny, this was native fermented in foudres, where it was held for a year. Pascal, well known for his exceptional white wines, loves using older foudre for his whites, as he feels it brings out the saltiness in the wine. Pascal also never uses batonnage on his wines, leaving them on full lees in barrels after pressing. Fresh and vibrant, with bright lemon, fine cream, herbal-kissed lees and ample stoney salinity flooding the sleek palate. This finishes with an alluring flash of flint. Overdelivers for a humble Bourgogne Blanc, drinking beautifully now and with time ahead.Tasted: 30 May 2021Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
