Paul Jaboulet Aîné Parallèle 45 Rosé 2019

Côtes du Rhône, Rhone Valley, FrancePaul Jaboulet Aîné is one of the Northern Rhone's leading estates, first established in 1834. The Parallèle line, their 'entry level' tier, was named because the 45th parallel runs two kilometres from the domaine’s cellars near Tain L’Hermitage. This cuvée began in 1950 and represents the Jaboulet commitment to producing France’s finest Rhône value. The estate has been under the purview of the Frey family for the past decade or so, and Caroline Frey is currently oenologist and proprietor. Pale peach in hue, This Côtes du Rhone rosé is a blend of 20+-year-old, organically-farmed grenache, cinsault and syrah growing on clay-limestone slopes and terraces. It was gently fermented and aged in stainless on lees over 6 months. Juicy youthful strawberries, rhubarb, raspberry fill a bright, bone-dry palate, seasoned with a fine rasp of peppercorn and kissed with cinnamon. Nice and compact, and prime for drinking now. Very food-friendly.Tasted: 05 April 2021Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
