French Door Sauvignon Blanc 2020

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaFrench Door Sauvignon Blanc comes from Oliver, in the southern Okanagan Valley, and in 2020 it was hot and dry in the south. The fruit was hand harvested over two picking dates, pressed whole cluster, cold settled overnight, and racked to French oak to ferment. A full malolactic was completed, and the barrels were stirred weekly during fermentation. The wine remained on lees without any addition of sulphites until being stabilized and bottled. The style is rich, weighty, and full flavoured like a fine white Bordeaux. Look for guava, grapefruit, and grassy licorice throughout. Think richer foods like quail or salmon.Tasted: 27 April 2021Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices: BC 30.00 winery online/direct Producer: French Door Estate WineryDistributors: Winery Direct
