French Door Rosé 2020

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe 2020 Rosé is a 63/37 mourvèdre/grenache from a vintage they describe as hot and dry. Everything was hand harvested and placed whole bunch directly to press. The colour is Provençal pale, and the texture is sleek and smooth, aided by natural malolactic fermentation. It is very French in style, including a bit of bottle stink that requires a splash decant to get at the delicate pink grapefruit. I’m sure it will settle in over time to be a solid wine, but for now, give it some air. I will try to retaste in the summer if there is any left.Tasted: 27 April 2021Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
