Poplar Grove Rosé 2020

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThere's clear purpose to the Poplar Grove Rosé. Much of the fruit is sourced from a vineyard designated for their rosé program. The winemaking also leans heavily on direct press, with a small portion of saignée. It strikes a nice balance, with the saignée portion bringing weight and fruit ripeness (along with some spice from the syrah) to the wine's relatively light frame, along with an appealing 12.6% abv, and brisk, refreshing acidity. Expect expressive citrus and red fruits, with just a hint of savouriness, leading to a balanced, dry finish. Good value.Tasted: 22 March 2021Tasted by: Geoffrey Moss MWPrices:
