Marchesi Antinori Chianti Classico Riserva Tenuta Tignanello 2018

Tuscany, ItalyTenuta Tignanello Chianti Classico Riserva originates from the same carefully tended vineyard that spawns the noted Super Tuscan Tignanello, and it is impressive. It's fermented in stainless steel vats for seven days. Post malolactic, the wine is transferred to French and Hungarian oak barriques for approximately one year before it is bottled and aged for an additional twelve months. The sangiovese is made in an elegant style, reflecting its origins, and mostly hands off winemaking. The nose is a riot of pure cherries with violets and earth. On the palate, it is vibrant, showing more intense flavours than weight, mixing tobacco and bright red fruit with a savoury, smooth, salty, impression throughout the finish Another impressive effort from this pedigreed label.Tasted: 19 March 2021Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
