Black Hills Carménère 2018

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaWith only 14 acres planted in the Okanagan (as of 2019), carménère is a rarity and, unfortunately, it's often priced as such. For such a limited production, there is still a lot of stylistic diversity between producers. This Black Hills carménère is a leaner expression at just 12.6% abv, but don't take that to mean unripe. There's a real purity and juiciness to the black fruits here, which is nicely accented by spicy herbs and green peppercorn. Bright, fine, and supple, you can drink this now with something nicely charred from the grill.Tasted: 04 April 2021Tasted by: Prices:
