Joseph Drouhin Côte de Beaune Rouge 2017
Côte de Beaune, Côte d'Or, Burgundy, FranceA sign of good Burgundy is its ability to overcome an ordinary vintage. At six years of age, this Cote de Beaune delivers a rather elegant version of the 2017 pinot noir that reflects the ethos of the Côte de Beaune appellation. Expect a mature nose mixing red cherries, subtle barrel notes, strawberries, and mushrooms with no noticeable tannin. Ready to drink and savour, especially throughout a long flavourful finish. Perfect now, drink all 2023. The bulk of the wine is a massale selection of pinot clones farmed biodynamically, with the addition of declassified younger vine fruit from cru vineyards, including Clos des Mouches.Tasted: 26 February 2023Tasted by: Prices:BC | $77.99 | 750ml | Marquis Wine Cellars and select private retailers |
