Mendoza, ArgentinaFelino is a rambunctious malbec made with a mix of fruit from the Valle de Uco and Lujan de Cuyo aged in new American oak for eight months. The nose and palate are dominated by rich, soft black, juicy plum fruit streaked with licorice, black pepper and smoky, dense sweet tannins. It has always been a friendly wine you can drink early. A perfect backyard barbecue red, capable of rolling into autumn and winter to handle most any dish as the intensity of the fare amps up with the weather. Hedonistic and unapologetic.Tasted: 26 February 2021Tasted by: Prices:
Mendoza, ArgentinaVivid crimson in the glass, and full of appetizing aromas of wine gums, ripe blackcurrant, and inky graphite. Super juicy and fresh with flavours that veer from red cherry to dark leathery plum, then a daub of blueberry jam. Smoky barrel notes round out this confident crowd pleaser from Felino, stamped with the dusty, saline finish that accompanies fruit from Uco and Lujan de Cujo.Tasted: 26 February 2021Tasted by: Prices:
Mendoza, ArgentinaFrom high altitude vineyards in Valle de Uco and Lujan de Cuyo, this was partially native fermented in stainless before resting in American oak (10% new) for 8 months. It was bottled unfined. There's a green branch / smoked earth element throughout this full red, sweetly ripe with baked raspberries, black cherry jam, and ample peppery spicing. Tannins are furry, housing this to a warming finish. Take now as intended, with fire grilled meats and veg.Tasted: 26 February 2021Tasted by: Prices:
