Château Pesquié Ventoux Terrasses Rosé 2019

Ventoux, Southern Rhone, Rhone Valley, FranceThe rosé grapes grow over an old uplifted seabed of limestone and clay with a few sandy plots some 300 meters above sea level. The blend is 50/40/10 cinsault, grenache and syrah, all farmed using biodynamic practices since 2015. It's fermented at cool temperatures in stainless steel and directly pressed to tank for blending, ageing, and bottling. Expect a pale colour and a wild red fruit nose sprinkled with citrus that spills across a fruity palate, tempered by a touch of garrigue. It is a fun aperitif-style rosé capable of double duty on the spring and summer dinner table, paired with raw or grilled fish, charcuterie plates, soft white cheeses, and south Asian sweet and sour dishes.Tasted: 25 February 2021Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
